He has served as Editor and Publisher for newspapers, trade magazines, and B2B online communities, as well as published analyst reports through SAE International, Insight Media, Frost & Sullivan, and NanoMarkets. TECH B2B has also provided business analysis and marketing services to several Fortune 500 companies, including HP, IBM, Microsoft, Fed Ex, SAIC, as well as several trade groups and standards development organizations (SDO).

John Lewis
Account Executive John Lewis brings more than 25 years of technology media, public relations, and marketing experience having most recently served as Editor in Chief of Laser Focus World. After earning his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and working R&D in the energy sector, John became an award-winning journalist at Design News magazine. With more than 13 years of progressive marketing experience at Cognex, John worked in public relations, strategic market development, and content marketing roles, including developing high-volume lead generation programs. Since 1996, John has focused exclusively on meeting the information needs of engineers working in fields as diverse as motion control, robotics, machine vision, lasers, optics, photonics, and industrial controls across every vertical market including semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, automotive, medical, energy, and logistics. John’s experience as engineer, journalist and marketer allows him to quickly ramp up on business, products, vertical industries and applications to bring an outside-in/market perspective to B2B content strategy.

Jimmy Carroll
Vice President of Operations Jimmy Carroll brings more than 15 years of experience in publishing and media, having recently served as Editor in Chief of Vision Systems Design. He spent the last eight years covering machine vision and automation, focusing exclusively on the information needs of engineers and integrators worldwide in areas including general manufacturing, semiconductors and electronics, aerospace and defense, automotive, unmanned, logistics and warehousing, agriculture, medical, R&D, and many more. In joining the company, Jimmy brings a deep curiosity for the underlying technologies and learning about the disparate ways machine vision and automation can help solve problems. He also brings extensive knowledge of the technology, business trends, and best practices shaping the manufacturing and technology markets, and enjoys applying that knowledge to service of Tech B2B clients.

David Dechow
David L. Dechow is TECH B2B’s principal technical resource for industrial automation, and also helps to oversee the company’s technical training initiatives including course delivery and materials development. David is widely recognized as a technologist and an industry thought leader in the areas of machine vision, robotics, industrial automation, and systems integration. Over a career in manufacturing spanning many years he has worked for Landing AI, Integro Technologies, and Fanuc America and was the founder and principal engineer for two successful integration companies. As a key educator within the automation industry, David has participated in the training of hundreds of engineers as an instructor with the A3 Certified Vision Professional program. He also is well known for his frequent informative technical articles, papers, webinars, and conference sessions and classes covering a wide range of technical topics involving machine vision, robotics, AI, and enabling technologies in industrial automation.
